More than Labor and Materials.
It’s About People and Relationships.
Since 1978, Lasko has been a leading general construction company working with commercial and industrial clients to solve their most challenging construction problems. We’re a fourth-generation family business that prides ourselves on the relationships we build and the superior quality we deliver.
It all started with a long family line of master builders and masons who handed down their knowledge and expertise from Europe and South America to the United States today. This helped make us one of the most diversified commercial and industrial construction companies you’ll find – adept in all fields of construction, renovation, and maintenance.
What sets us apart? We establish close personal and business relationships, making us flexible and responsive. That’s why our first client still relies on us. And it’s why our first employee is still with us. We’ve stood the test of time and we’re stronger than ever.
A Family Foundation
When Walter Laskowski and his son Ed moved to New Jersey from Venezuela in 1960, they had a mission. Together, they launched and ran a successful tile installation company, where Ed learned the value of hard work, quality service, and safety. By 1978, Ed Laskowski turned this one-person residential company into Lasko Contractors, a 15+ employee company specializing in industrial and commercial work – from plant construction to facility maintenance to hospital construction.
Ed’s son Robert soon followed in his footsteps, spending summers helping out on the worksites. Before long, he took on a project management role, and when Ed stepped down as President in 2018, Robert stepped up. Lasko Contractors continues to grow under Robert’s leadership, Ed’s oversight, and a unified team of skilled, certified craftsmen.
Backed by Credentials
Along with our skill and expertise, the Lasko team has all the training, licenses, and certifications you’d expect from an elite general construction company. We meet the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) standards for general industry and construction, and we’re a MetlSpan certified installer, ensuring proper use, methods, and procedures for insulated metal wall and roof panel installation.
And because our primary concern is the health and safety of our staff and those we serve, we had a quick and immediate response to the COVID-10 pandemic. We continue to adhere to all local public health agency and government guidelines and have implemented measures to mitigate COVID-19 transmission within Lasko-controlled offices and on all project worksites.
